Choosing a WECON HMI?

Send your PLC model, preferred screen size, communication protocol and remote access requirements. An engineer will help identify a compatible panel.

WECON HMI panels for machine visualization and control

WECON touch panels display equipment parameters, alarms and production status. Operators can use the HMI to issue commands, adjust settings and navigate machine screens. A panel connects to a PLC, drive or other device through an interface and protocol supported by both ends of the connection.

WECON series in the catalog

  • PI3000i and PI3000ie are panels for local operation and visualization. Available interfaces and performance depend on the series and exact part number.
  • PI3000ig, including PI3000ig-C versions, is an IoT HMI family for projects requiring V-NET integration. Check the network connection options of the selected model.
  • PI8000ig serves projects with greater requirements for performance, data handling and screen choice. Remote and network capabilities vary by version.
  • PI9000ig offers extended visualization and web integration options. Confirm support for the required function in the exact model.
  • WP3000 includes protected designs for more demanding installation conditions. Check the IP rating and mounting method in the chosen panel's specifications.

How to select a WECON panel

  • Display: choose screen size and resolution based on the controls, charts and viewing distance required by the operator.
  • PLC communication: verify the port, protocol, device roles and compatibility of the complete model numbers. Matching connectors alone do not ensure communication.
  • Remote functions: decide whether you need V-NET, screen access, notifications or data transfer. Ethernet, Wi-Fi and 4G are not available in every version.
  • Mounting: check dimensions, panel cutout, power supply, temperature range and protection rating. Confirm whether the IP rating applies only to the front face.
  • Connection kit: select suitable cable lengths, connectors and mounting accessories for the exact HMI and controller models.

HMI project and system compatibility

WECON HMI screens are developed in PIStudio. Before building the project, define the variables, commands, alarms and user permissions, together with the connection to a WECON PLC or another manufacturer's controller. For selection against your specification, contact ASFERO.

WECON HMI FAQ

Do all WECON panels support V-NET?

No. V-NET support and available remote functions depend on the series and exact part number.

Can a WECON HMI connect to another manufacturer's PLC?

Yes, if both devices support a compatible physical interface and protocol. The exact HMI and PLC models are needed to check compatibility.

How does PI3000ig differ from PI3000i or PI3000ie?

PI3000ig is designed around IoT functions and V-NET integration. PI3000i and PI3000ie are used for local HMI projects; exact capabilities depend on the model.

Which software is used to develop WECON screens?

WECON HMI projects are developed in PIStudio. Match the software version and required features to the selected panel.

Is an IP65 front face enough for installation outside a cabinet?

A front-face IP rating describes protection of the exposed side after correct panel mounting. For an exposed housing in a wet or dusty area, check the protection rating of the complete device.
